Sound of the Sun The Feel Good Drag Dead Language for a Dying lady The Coldest Heart Sharada Intermission To The Moon Push Real World These were just a few of the songs blasting from the headphones covering, Remus' ears. Her foot tapped to the beat of each of them as she typed along on her computer, back up against a large oak. She was in her own little world, attempting to get some work done though it was difficult for her because she could see other people in the park having fun or relaxing. The only reason she was out there was because she was tired of being cooped up inside all day. Her fingers moved quickly across the keyboard as she finished up a report. Remus took a few fries from a container that was sitting next to her and ate them, her mood lifting as they were one of her favorite foods. She wiped her fingers on her black shorts and then got back to typing again. She was almost finished and could not wait to be able to enjoy her weekend. Getting things done early was her main priority always because she liked to be able to relax when she could and she didn't have many free weekends much lately as she was trying to keep her business afloat, she really regretted hiring the new guy. He had been screwing up anything and everything he tried to do. She was going to have to let him go if he didn't straighten up soon. She sighed as she dug through the back pack on her other side, looking for her flash drive to save her work on. She growled slightly in frustration when she couldn't find it and contented herself with just saving it on her lap top. Remus closed the report and then turned off the computer. After putting it away she closed her eyes and leaned her head back up against the bark of the tree, listening the the music that filled her head. A gentle breeze came seeming to respond to her mood. She was relaxed and happy, opening her eyes to look around her. Right across from her was a couple taking a walk, looking oh so happy. To her right was a group of young teens playing a game of ultimate Frisbee. To her left was nothing but an open field with a few birds flitting about in the sky. She smiled at the sight of the open field and stood up, picking up her backpack and then throwing out her fries in a nearby trash can. She headed towards the middle of the field, grass tickling her ankles as she walked down hill. She turned off her music and set her headphones on her shoulders. It was quiet out in the open and she sat down again, leaning on her shoulders to look up at the crisp blue sky. The cool breeze picked up again, causing the grass to sway ever so slightly.

Fall was one of Julie’s favorite times of year. The colors reminded her of her own inner presence or energy or chakra or whatever the hell the new wave movement was calling it these days. Reds, yellows, and oranges exploded the world into a maze of leafy flames. It made Julia feel like the world was her home, her own personal playground to walk around in. Plus the crackly dryness of fall was like a constant temptation surrounding her. The world was combustible at this time of the year and Julia could so easily set it all afire.
But she wasn’t in the park today to do any such thing. She was here taking a break from the constant noise of the construction workers in her estate as they returned it to its former glory. Hell, it would be better than it ever had been. But the noise, the hammering and sawing and shouts of the workers was unbearable. Maybe she would check into a hotel until things were finished. No one should be subject to such torture. She wasn’t sleeping well and it showed in faintly half purple moons beneath her blue eyes.
Julia wrapped her deep purple wool jacket around her, snuggling into the large gray fur that surrounded her neck in a halo. The wind had picked up and there wasn’t a lot to Julia. She felt it like it was whipping through her pale skin and not just circling her in a torrent. Julia cast her eyes around the park casually, looking for onlookers, but no one was nearby. She was in an open part of the park, not near the walkways and the park benches. There was a girl, blonde and listening to music walking a ways off, but she wasn’t near enough yet that she’d notice anything strange…or at least Julia didn’t really care if she did or not.
She called to that part of her that was raw energy and uncontrollable life and brought it simmering to the surface, heating the very air around herself in a sort of swirl that looked like an orangey red mist had surrounded her. It was just enough to kill the chill of the wind, but not so much that she risked setting her vintage jacket on fire. ”Ah,” she said with a satisfied smirk, ”That’s better.”

Remus sighed some as she closed her eyes but almost instantly they shot open again. She thought she held heard something and maybe even have seen something out of the corner of her eye. She looked around some and her eyes caught on to a red head in a purple jacket. She looked at her for a moment, a curious look on her face but she shrugged slightly and turned her head back to the sky.
She then looked back a few moments later, curiosity still burning in her mind. She then started walking towards the woman. It wasn't obvious that she was heading towards her but mostly just like she was aimlessly wondering around.
After a little ways of walking she came up to the girl and walked passed her although she stopped and backtracked a little bit. "I like your jacket..." Remus almost said thoughtfully and looked at it some more. She gave the girl a small smile and then asked, "Where did you get it if I might ask?" She had kept talking to her because she had noticed something odd. It was a little warmer where the woman was compared to the rest of the area. Curiosity had a large hold on her at this point.

The girl had come closer. Julie could hear her footsteps. But then again, it wasn’t as though she had super hearing. The park was scattered with leaves, anyone would hear the girl approach. She could have pushed away the energy of her power, but she didn’t. Why suffer in the cold just because some girl had gotten curious?
”I like your jacket…” the girl said, and her voice was pleasant enough for Julie to turn her head and acknowledge the compliment. She smiled, though it looked more like a smirk than a smile probably. ”Where did you get it if I might ask?” Julie almost laughed. She ran her ivory fingers over the real ebony buttons. ”Paris in the 1930s.” It came out as bitchy as the words themselves.
Julie sighed and then looked at the girl, really looked at her. She was bored, and the girl had approached her and even complimented her. She couldn’t be all bad could she? The girl was what Julie would describe as adorable, cute. She had a heart shaped face, a flat nose that made her look normal, and lips that were a bit unbalanced, a full bottom lip and a top lip that didn’t quite match. But there was something to her. The way her blonde hair caught in the wind and swirled around her slightly tanned face, the piercing color of her blue eyes. She was like looking at a Manet, pretty, but not Monet.
”I’m Julie,” she said as an introduction, and even extended her hand, which was saying a lot. ”Anything good?” Julie said, indicating to the earphones around the girl’s neck. It was craziness that she was talking this much at all, especially to a stranger. But she didn’t have plans for the rest of the day, and if nothing else, it would be amusing to toy with the girl…at least for a while.

Remus' eyebrows quirked some at the girls tone but she didn't mind it much and her answer shocked her some, peaking her curiosity even more. She smirked some but it was friendly as Julie gave her name. "I'm Remus." She responded and took her hand for a moment.
She took a moment before she answered the next question that came at her. She didn't talk to many people other than those she worked with so she wasn't doing something she would call normal. She took in Julie's image and stored it in case she saw her again any where. "There's basically anything you can think of on here." Ant truly there was. She had everything ranging from classical and opera to hard core screamo. She shrugged her shoulder some and smiled, her chunky headphones shifting some.
"You want to see it?" Remus then asked and held out the music player she had pulled out of her pocket. She flipped some of her blond hair out of her face. Her blue eyes took in everything she saw as she was trying to figure out in her mind what was different about this girl...

The blonde introduced herself as Remus, which made Julie frown. It was an odd name, and sounded significant in some way. As she took her hand there was definitely a charge of energy in it that was not at all human. Curious.
As Julie asked her about her music selection Remus seemed to consider her. Her eyes lingered on her for a long moment as though she were filing away something for later. It didn't bother Julie in the least. She liked attention, and liked being watched. Remus could look all she wanted.
When she was finished Remus gave the stereotypical reply that people gave when asked what kind of music they liked: everything. She shrugged her shoulders and shifted her headphones before holding out her music player and offering it up to Julie.
Julie smirked at the suggestion and shook her head no. She was direct and blunt to the point of bitchiness. "That's o.k. I'm sure it's great." Julie inclined her head in the direction of a small path that led out towards a woods, even further from the public eye. She wanted to ask Remus questions that no human should hear. "Would you like to walk with me for a bit?"

Remus nodded at her decline, wondering at the tone of her voice but from what she could tell it was just the way Julie was. She was a little taken aback by the invite to go walking with her but she had nothing better to do and complies. "Why not." She gave a slight smile and looked to where her new acquaintance had. She saw a bit of woods off in the distance and figured that, that would be where she was going to walk to... but what for was what Remus was wondering.
She took another quick glance at Julie, looking and taking in any expressions she had, trying to figure out what was on her mind but of course that was unlikely and it wasn't as if she was a mind reader. She took off her headphones and stuffed them along with her music player in her small backpack. "I'm guessing you want to walk towards that area over there..." She then said, motioning to where Julie had looked earlier. Remus' mind was whirling around, thinking of different scenarios about what could happen. She was always thinking about something and it was now obvious by the look she had in her eyes. She seemed completely focused on anything Julie would do or say but they also seemed to be staring past her or what ever she happened to be looking at.

Remus accepted the invitation for a walk and Julie’s face split into a grin of delight. She loved it when people complied with her wishes. Remus’s eyes travelled in the direction of the woods slightly off to the side and Julie’s eyes followed; it was perfect. The girl then stuffed her headphones and music player into her backpack before suggesting heading off into the woods.
”That sounds wonderful,” Julie said and started off in that direction. She watched Remus without being obvious about it. The girl was blonde, which immediately lent Julie to think that she was stupid, or at least a shallow well. She bought into stereotypes because most of the time they were accurate, and because she was well…a bitch. But Remus seemed to be thinking constantly. Her pert face was actually drawn in thought almost all of the time, unless she was speaking. Curious, Julie thought.
”So then Remus. That’s an unusual name. How did you come by it? [/size]
