YOU'RE SO HATEFUL SOMETIMES throwing punches at lies FAR AWAY FROM SOMEWHERE ABOVE just say you're in love ••• ••• ••• Friday, July 31, 2009. Aria's first real gig.
The yellow-haired teenager was a little young to be hanging out at a bar, much less singing at one, but she had to try something as far as her singing career. None of the people here really cared as far as that went, heck some of these awful and disgusting guys would want to take her home and do her good. She grimaced at that thought and looked at her band, all happy to be having a real gig. She smiled shyly at them, strangely very laid back to be going on stage in about,,,she looked down at her watch...five minutes. She smiled, one of her many quirks.
She wore a dark blue strapless dress with a black jacket, the sleeves were pulled up to her elbows. She wore completely black chucks. Her yellow hair was straightened and she had her normal make-up: natural-colored lipstick with black eyeliner and dark blue eyeshadow. She thought she looked pretty good.
"And now for our live music tonight, please welcome Connect Four!"
Some random guy introduced their band to the stage. She breathed out. "Alright guys, are you ready?" She ran out onto the stage, the rest of her band behind her. She went up to the microphone, looked out at the drunken and dead-looking crowd. She looked at the guitarist and the bassist as they tuned then focused back on the crowd. "Alright, now I dunno what you guys think, but it's like a cemetary in here!" She looked around, a smile accross her face. "What are y'all, eighty? LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" Laughed as the kick drum started, then the guitar. Do you ever feel like me (like me) The walls are closing in between Just breathe (just breathe)
I wait every single moment Of every day just to see your face Why can't they just let us be, yeah
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh It's us against the world Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh It's us against the world
I'm never letting go Come on let's run away Just take me by the hand We will make it
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh It's us against the world
Ask me once and i'll leave Everything for you Just say the word You'll see You'll stay with me I wait every single moment Of every day just to see your face Why can't they let us be
Yeah we're racing Yeah we're racing Far away from here
Yeah we'll make it Yeah we'll make it
We'll get there We'll get there
Yeah we're racing, racing, racing, racing Far away from here
Yeah we'll make it Yeah we'll make it
We'll get there We'll get there
She breathed and waited for an applause. "Now that was a little song called us against the world. This next song is La La Land by my bud Demi Lavato."
I am confident, but I still have my moments Baby, that's just me I'm not a supermodel, I still eat McDonald's Baby, that's just me
Well, some may say I need to be afraid Of losing everything, because of where I Had my start and where I made my name Well, everything's the same in the La La Land machine Machine, machine
Who said I can't wear my Converse with my dress? Well baby, that's just me Who said I can't be single and have to go out and mingle Baby, that's not me, no, no
Well, some may say I need to be afraid Of losing everything, because of where I Had my start and where I made my name Well, everything's the same in the La La Land
Tell me do you feel the way I feel 'Cause nothing else is real in the La La Land appeal
Well, some may say I need to be afraid Of losing everything, because of where I Had my start and where I made my name Well, everything's the same in the La La Land machine Well, I'm not gonna change in the La La Land machine I will stay the same in the La La Land Machine, machine, machine
I won't change anything in my life (I won't change anything in my life) I'm staying myself tonight (I'm staying myself tonight) She waited for the applause again and smiled into the crowd, she was done. Now it was on to the next group. "Thanks, you're a great crowd. We're out, thanks for listening. We're Connect Four!" She smiled and got off stage, along with her guys. "I love you guys! I think we all did a great job! See ya Saturday for our rehersal. I got the squirty cheese!" She laughed and went out into the bar and listened to some guy play accoustic about his ex-girlfriend. She smiled, it wasn't upbeat enough for her. [/blockquote] ••• ••• ••• FINISHED!

Let me hold you, Girl caress my body You got me going crazy, oh Turn me on, turn me on
It was just before ten o'clock at night when the manor had been filled with harsh yelling and shrill shrieking. Let's just say that if you stepped inside, you would need earmuffs or some sort of protective device. It was pure chaos. Danny had borrowed a wrench from Luke to fix something, but then ended up losing the stupid thing as usual. Then, Chris was yelling at Rachel who was scolding at Allison for sneaking out of the house (probably for drinking or something else, Chris assumed). Over the last couple of months, Chris and Allison had gotten really close and finally felt brother and sister-like. Milo was just sitting in the corner of the living room on the couch with the same old amused smirk that he wore so often. Despite Milo's former actions, he was the kind of guy you could trust your life with in any situation. He was...a friend. He was a very good friend, in Chris's opinion.
Next thing he knew, he ended up on his backside on the floor with a scowl coming from Rachel.
"God! What is it with you demons?" she exclaimed, her nose wrinkling as it always did when she was upset.
"Oh, so now you're bitching about how we are? Well you should maybe be a little bit more thankful that this demon saved your sorry ass from getting eaten!" he retorted before getting up off of the floor and went out into the city, slamming the door behind him. He quickly took out his cell phone and texted Chloe asking her to look after Allison while he was out for a while. God, him and Rachel fought constantly lately, and frankly, it was starting to get to be a bit old. He needed to get away for a bit. Chris never was much of a party-goer before he met Allison, but after accompanying her as her "date" one night, it opened his eyes a little bit wider to his surroundings.
Shimmering into a deserted alleyway, he was met by blows to the face, knocking him down flat on his back. Looking around him, he was surrounded by a group of demons....pissed off demons, at that. One demon holding him at each arm, with the leader staring right at him with jet black eyes. Great, another person who hates him...especially a Stryker demon. With a groan, his stomach was met with the leader's fist drilled into his stomach before a couple of more blows to the face, giving him a bruised lip and a bloody nose on the right side.
With a hiss, the leader whispered into his ear, "I'll be back, Devonshire...."
And within a matter of seconds, they all shimmered away to somewhere Chris did NOT want to know or have any idea about. He lied on the cold cement with a groan, feeling the blood rushing through his ears and flowing down from his knows and a cut above his right eye. He pressed two fingers up to the wound and tasted his blood and inserting them into his mouth, relishing in the coppery amazing taste that exploded from his taste buds. He was obsessed with tasting his own blood. Weird and scary, but oh so true. Getting up, he could feel his body aching with his accelerating healing. He could feel his wounds tingling with the familiar feeling of his skin and flesh healing itself at an unhuman speed. Well duh, it's unhuman...Chris was a freaking demon.
Finally getting up off of the cool ground, he walked down the street a couple of blocks, and it was only a matter of minutes before he felt the bass from Abyss. Knowing that he could get in without trouble, he walked through the side door, making sure that there was no one else who saw him. He knew the bartender, bouncers, and even the dance crew. Oh god the dance crew...they were hot. But tonight was mic night so anyone could go up there and perform. Apparently there was some bands that were playing that were regulars. He liked a band called American Jokes, but the lead singer got pneumonia so he couldn't have sung...so who took their spot? He walked through the crowd, heading to the bar with easy agility and performance and sat down, signaling the bartender that he wanted his usual alcoholic drink. The bartender didn't even card him anymore. It was just something that he did. After it was set down, he took a sip and felt the deep burn run through his chest, and the new band that had taken American Jokes' spot was on.
They were good - really really good, actually. He sat there, mesmerized as he looked at the lead singer. She was gorgeous. Firey red hair, slim but amazing body, and gorgeous eyes. It was perfect. She was perfect for him. He felt the bass, guitar, and all of the harmonies meld together, and Chris closed his eyes, relishing in the feeling that was the music that they were performing. Once it was over, he wanted to beg them to do more, but now it was just some wannabe rocker playing on his acoustic about his ex-girlfriend.
Pathetic, he thought to himself with a small smirk.
And before he knew it, the girl started to walk over towards him and sat down in the seat right next to him. He couldn't believe it! His heart racing and blood rushing throughout his body, he opened his mouth as if something to say, but he couldn't find the words. He didn't want to say something stupid and make a fool of himself. Gathering his thoughts, he took a deep breath, and looked at her with a confidence that he didn't know that he had.
"Excuse me, miss.....may I, erm, buy you a drink? Water or something? You and your band were amazing."
What? He couldn't think of anything else to say besides that somewhat not so much clever line.
((HOLY SHIT. OVER 1000 WORDS. Hope that's better! ))

YOU'RE SO HATEFUL SOMETIMES throwing punches at lies FAR AWAY FROM SOMEWHERE ABOVE just say you're in love ••• ••• •••
The small girl listened to the guy playing acoustic about his ex-girlfriend. She felt some sympathy for him, because she was waay to nice, but if what he said was true, his ex was pretty harsh. He was singing something like "I can't help but blame this all on y-ou! You killed me, de-stroyed me. oh-oh-oh!" It was pretty good, and this was probably his way of venting. She caught the guy on the stage's eyes and smiled weakly in sympathy for him. She hated it when people were mean to eachother like that, she didn't really understand why everything had to end in battles and wars. Why couldn't people just talk it out? She frowned a little.
She brightened up when she was comfronted by some guy. "Excuse me, miss.....may I, erm, buy you a drink? Water or something? You and your band were amazing." She blushed when he said that, it didn't matter who it was, but when somebody complimented her on anything she just blushed. All of the blood ran to her cheeks and they burned red, good thing she could cover it up with that she was burning up from singing and she got a little hot. She shrugged it off and shot the boy a smile, "Sure, water's cool." She said lamely. God, why couldn't she have thought of something clever to say?
She examined him slyly. She was very under-cover about it, looking to the left and seeing him from her periferal vision. He was very very very attractive. This man was very slim, but muscular. I guess a word that suited it better was 'fit'. He was seemed very strong and he was just the kind of guy that seemed like the protector and he just made her want to curl up in his arms. He had dark hair that was kinda short, but not too much. It was a cute cut, and not many guys could pull it off and look in any way shape or form and look good. She looked directly into his eyes, brown. They weren't the dark mysterious brown, or even the warm and loving brown, they were the kind of brown that was...nuetral. Very pretty. This man's eyes were the kind that could pierce through skin and engulf you at the same time. Aria smiled, she liked that.
She watched him order her a water. How lame was that? Water. At a bar! She frowned a little bit and looked at the bar she was leaning on. The cold, stained wood felt good on her warm skin. She leaned her head on her fist and her elbow on the bar. She looked back at this man. "I'm Aria, by the way." She smiled lightly. "And thanks, we are pretty amazing." She flashed her pearly whites. A strand of red hair fell to her face, she blew it to get it out of her face, but it just fell right back to where it started. She made an angry face towards the hair, eyes almost crossed. She ended up moving it out of her face with her hands.
She looked back at this masculene figure. He was more like Joeseph, one of her older brothers. Except, Joe wasn't as muscular, he was a little more lean. He had those exact eyes. She was feeling closer to him already. "And who do I owe this lovely drink to?" She said a little melo-dramatically. She grinned, this was going to be fun.

No sir, well I don't wanna be the blame not anymore It's your turn to take the seat, we're settling the final score And why do we like to hurt so much I can't decide; you have made harder just to go on
As the red head finally came down from stage towards him, Chris could feel his heart pounding on the inside of his chest. Nearing closer and closer, his pulse was rushing through the inside of his veins throughout his body, and he could hear the roaring of the rushing of the blood in his ears with a loudness that temporarily blocked out all of the other sound that was surrounding him in the building. And right when the girl sat down, he stifled his heavy breathing. Chris was never this nervous before in his entire life, so why now did he become so anxious all of a sudden? He briefly looked over at her as she ordered the water that he offered to pay for and felt a smile quirk at the edges of his lips.
She was beautiful, that's for a fact. From far away, her stage personality took over her appearance because that was the only thing that any being could focus on. Her stage personality was for sure appealing because otherwise, well, he wouldn't have been as immediately attracted to her as he was. But physically, well....she was a ten. That was for sure. Her body was built perfectly. Her entire body was perfectly proportioned, and it was more than he could have ever hoped for. Her firey hair matched perfectly with her body and facial structure. She was goddess like. Hell, that was the only thing that he could relate her to. She had beautiful eyes, perfect lips, and a collarbone that he wanted to kiss all night long...well, that is if he was allowed to. And right when she told him her name, a smile (a full-out smile) threatened to break out.
"I'm Aria, by the way. And who do I owe this lovely drink to?"
Finally, he managed to crack a small smile, his hazel eyes gazing into hers before sticking a hand out, and replying with a soft but firm voice, "The name is Chris. And anything for a pretty woman such as yourself."
Okay, yeah, he was a charmer, so what? He was as nervous as hell though. He felt droplets of sweat trickle down from his neck down his back, and a subtle shiver ran down his spine. It felt abnormal, weird because he wasn't so used to being this nervous. He wasn't normally like this. Why the hell did he feel this way about this one girl then?
((Sorry if I didn't give you much to work with...))

"The name is Chris. And anything for a pretty woman such as yourself."
The red never left her face. It kept burning and burning. He kept giving her compliments. Damnit. Why did she have to be so sensitive on that part, she took a sip of her water then smiled back at Chris. "Nice to meet you, Chrissy." She winkede in a flirtatious way and grinned. The acoustic faded finally and she turned around and looked back at the stage. A new band had come on. The lead singer was hot. Long dark hair and stick-thin. She turned back to the attractive man in front of her, she shouldn't be looking like that when there was somebody else with her. It was rude.
"So, Chris, what brings you to the Abyss? Drinkin your heart out?" Aria said teasily, her Italian accent was obvious. She looked at a scar that was accross his face, I wonder how he got that... She looked back towards the band that was now playing. They were really good, probably better than her band. She looked back to Chris to get his answer. She continued to wonder about that scar that was on his face, was he in a gang? She really didn't need to be hanging with the gangs. They hurt people, that's not the kind of person she wanted to be with. Her hazel eyes tried to find the scar on his face again but it was gone! Was she just imagining? Hadn't there been a scar there just a second ago? Her eyes widened in shock.
She must have just been hallucinating. People can't heal that fast. Duh.

Let me hold you Girl caress my body You got me going crazy Turn me on, turn me on
There was something about Aria and the way that her eyes looked at him that made his heart want to flutter right out of his chest. Her eyes...they told a certain story that looked all so familiar, and everything just seemed to be different when he looked at her compared to when he looked at Imagine. She was like an angel that was so fragile to the touch but with a spicy attitude. Kind of like a tamale. The corn husk on the outside, so fragile and breakable but on the inside, the cornmeal, spices, and peppers create the personality that is the tamale. All come together to create a perfect tasting thing that was the tamale. Aria was just like the tamale. She looked so fragile and innocent on the outside with all of her blushing and cute, flirtatious smiles, but he knew that secretly on the inside, she had a firey and sexiness that she normally or, he assumed, wouldn't show if she were just by herself at her house or living quarters.
With a small smile, he just looked at her and saw the light dancing in her eyes and a story seemed to fill in the blanks. Her eyes told a story that he wouldn't have normally seen in her, but he wouldn't say anything. He was too respectful and too much of a gentleman to say that basically he could tell who she was and what she liked just from looking at her. Besides, that was kinda creepy too. He shook his hair and ran his hand through it to spike it up a bit more even though it looked like crap, but it was too late. He gave a small laugh and pushed it back down like the emo-style he had before. And that was right before she spoke.
Laughing at what she said, he signaled the bartender for another drink. He needed to get a bit tipsy before he asked this beautiful girl to dance, and even though he was already there....another drink couldn't hurt. Chrissy... he thought, that's a new one. He set his hand down, and just as he looked down, he realized that it was sitting immediately right next to hers. Their fingers were touching, and he could feel his breath rising and falling at a quicker pace. He pulled it away immediately before setting it back on the bar counter a little bit farther away than they had been before. He gave her an embarrased smile before feeling the burn of a flush rise on his cheeks. He was so tan that it was barely visible, but you could still notice a little bit of redness on his cheek and neck.
With a slightl chuckle, he responded, "Heh...well I'm just here to kick back and relax. Meeting pretty women such as yourself. Taking another swig, he finished his drink and figured out that if he was going to ask her to dance, now was the time. The band was almost done and the DJ was soon going to be coming on, so it would help. "Would you like to dance conmigo?" Chris asked Aria quietly, a small smile quirking on his lips.
((Ick sorry. Didn't know how to end it.))

YOU'RE SO HATEFUL SOMETIMES throwing punches at lies FAR AWAY FROM SOMEWHERE ABOVE just say you're in love ••• ••• •••
A small smirk tugged at the edge of her lips as she hummed along and tapped her foot to the beat. “God, I love this song,” she said aloud, mostly to herself, but just to say something. In the midst of all of this she felt awkward. Like, she was a white nerdy girl in the mix with a whole bunch of bitchy black girls. She never really went to a bar, or drank for that matter. This was all semi-new to her. She just smiled as she watched the sexy man in front of her. Her mind was buzzing. How did she get with such an attractive man such as him? She looked around the room. Was she on one of those “You just got PUNKd!” kind of shows? She didn’t see any suspicious people, or cameras for that matter. She just shrugged and looked back into his mysterious eyes.
She couldn’t keep those hazel orbs off of his sexy body. She sighed and looked up and down his frame. Aria couldn’t help but envy whoever was this lucky guy’s girl. Her body tingled all over, she just smiled weakly and watched him mess with his hair and let out a little giggle. Her giggles, of course, were not the high annoying giggles that some girls made. Nor were they the low, strange giggles. They were right there in the middle, and every boyfriend that she had had in the past had loved her giggle. (I mean, that wasn’t a very long list…but that’s O.K.) They had thought it was really cute. She shrugged at this thought, he obviously was entitled to his own opinion. When she was looking up and down his incredibly…unbearably…attractive body she couldn’t help but notice the slight redness to his face and neck. She smiled a little again, was this guy blushing from her? She looked down at her hands on the table and realized that their hands had probably been touching and she hadn’t even noticed! She growled silently to herself (of course never showing a sign, because that was what she was an expert at), how could she be so unobservant? She had a knack for seeing things that others didn’t.
And of course, she always remembered strange little details like what she said at church, but had no idea what they were really talking about. A smile tugged at her lips at that thought. He finally responded with a slight chuckle. "Heh...well I'm just here to kick back and relax. Meeting pretty women such as yourself.” She continued blushing at that thought. She wanted to scream “Stop flattering me! AH! You’re making me blush!” But, alas, she didn’t. For that would be rude and….she kinda liked it. She hadn’t been called pretty in a long time. She watched him take another swig of his drink. Great, Aria thought, another drunk. She just shook her head sadly. Then he asked her to dance. Dance? Wait…Aria didn’t dance! She was absolutely awful at it. She could only jump up and down and swing her arms. But Chris was so…alluring. It was like he wanted to rape her or something. But, she had a black belt in Tai Kwan Do as well as five years of horseback riding and eight of Soccer. She could kick his ass pretty hard if she really wanted to. So, she decided to go for it. Who really cared? He was too loaded anyway. I mean, c’mon, he had called her a conmigo for Pete’s sake! “Sure, I mean, do I really have a choice?” She replied sarcastically.
And just to make it even more interesting, she ordered a smaller drink that she could drink in a few sips (nothing all that strong of course). She quickly drank it and smiled sheepishly at him. Oh boy, was this gonna be fun.

Summer nights Everybody's feeling sexy Holler if you're ready for some summer nights
Everything just seemed to fall into place at a perfect time. He was feeling confident, sexy, and oh so intimidating at the same time. Well, intimidating in a good way, I guess you could say. All he really had to do was look at a girl, give her his signature smile, and the only thing left to do was give her a wink, and SNAG. She was his. Chris, well, he knew he was attractive, but half of the time he underestimated himself. As confident as he appeared to be on the outside, on the inside he was completely self-conscious. He didn't like a single thing about his body, his personality, nothing. It wasn't something he could control...it was just who he was. There were many times when people had tried to change who he was and how he acted, and each time it turned out badly.
He looked at her and with a dazzling smile, he grabbed her hand and brought her out on the dancefloor just as hardcore techno music began to boom out from the speakers, the bass threatening to burst through his chest and create a large non-existant hole. Dragging her to the center where all of the freaks were, he pulled her in front of him, very gently resting his hands on the bones of her hips. He completely pressed his body against hers, enjoying the feeling of hard on soft. No, that does not mean boner in any way, shape or form. His hard muscles compared to her soft figure seemed like something he could have only even thought of dreaming. It was becoming reality. He could only smile and let the music flow right through him.
Leaning down to her ear, he told her, "I hope you don't mind this...but...."
He smirked and gently pressed his lips to her neck right after he brushed her hair out of the way, gently kissing up to her temple. He was being sweet right now, and honestly, he didn't know why.
It was something....new?

YOU'RE SO HATEFUL SOMETIMES throwing punches at lies FAR AWAY FROM SOMEWHERE ABOVE just say you're in love ••• ••• •••
She actually felt good about herself. Aria wasn't the one to think that she was totally gorgeous or sexy in any way. She just thought that she was pretty and majority of the male population at her school just thought she was cute, but not all that intriguing. She wasn't the one to get a date every friday, or even a boyfriend for that matter. She just simply drifted from one fling to the next, not really feeling much but a little spark. So, this was most definitely an uncommon encounter for her.
And one day, a guy ends up in front of her at a club and wants to dance. Wow, talk about...weird. Well, not like that, that's not a good word. Unexpected is a better description. She just flashed a toothy grin at him when they had gotten to the dance floor. The loud techno music was blasting through the bass. She loved techno, but it was like poinding loud. She would most definitely be deaf for I dunno...like five...maybe six months? You know those guys and girls that like dance for a living and like dance their asses off every time they came in contact with their favorite music? Well, one just passed her and she couldn't help but laugh at his strange movements. Then she felt pressed against something hard.
Before you start making assumtions, it was his chest. Nothing else. She just breathed in and out, he must have been ripped if his chest felt like that. Then she felt his warm breath on her ear, "I hope you don't mind this...but...." it tickled and she could barely make out his words, but she ended up understanding after she felt his lips on her neck. She felt little tiny sparks go up and down her bodt and right back up again. He slowly made his way up to her temples.
WOAH. WOAH. WOAH. WAIT A GOSH DARNED MINUTE.
Aria frose, suddenly becoming very tense. What was she doing? Did she want this? Did she want to make out with a guy she just met. Well, of course, he was sexy and he seemed really sweet and...STOP IT RIGHT THERE! These are the type of people that will just rape you on the spot and she wasn't in the mood for being raped. She pushed away from his incredibly attractive, seducive body and looked up at him.
"I...don't feel comfortable with this..." She said loudly, so that he could hear or even read her lips. She shook her head violently and began to back away. She speed-walked all the way out the door and into an alleyway. She leaned against a wall and slowly slid down. She put her head in her hands and began to think about how stupid she was to have done that.

You can't be too careful anymore When all that is waiting for you Won't come any closer You've got to reach out a little more
Just from looking at Aria, one could tell that she was so confident, so secure with herself. She just was an ordinary person at that moment that just wanted to have fun instead of being so uptight like Chris normally was. There were just so many things about that night that defied all common sense between the two of them. Normally, Chris was completely insecure and not this confident at all. It just....seemed to happen tonight. He would never ask someone as beautiful as she was to dance. He had been rejected and hurt too many times by Rachel to have any sort of relationship or even any intention of having one. But Aria....damn, she seemed to be something special lately. It was just the aura that she gave off that seemed to intrigue him more and want to get to know her so much more than he already had, which wasn't very much.
As he set his hands on her hips, he let the beat guide them. The difference of pressures was something that was different than he had experienced with most girls. Most of them were whores and knew how to dirty dance. But this one, well, let's just say that she's something else. She wasn't an expert, but she wasn't a complete virgin either. He just assumed that she didn't do this as often as he would have liked or thought. But that didn't make anything worse. It was just reality. However, when he started to kiss her neck, he felt her stiffen for a second and then relax, letting his hold on her increase because he didn't necessarily want her to fall. But then when his lips pressed against her temples, her muscles tensed, and she spun around, sputtering out words before saying complete sentences.
"I...don't feel comfortable with this..."
Chris immediately knew what was going on. Once again, he watched another girl run away from him. But...there was something about her that he didn't want to lose. He wanted to help her. Dammit was all the he could say to himself. He wanted to make sure that she was okay at least. It was the inner nice gentleman in him. He ran out after her, pushing through the crowds, fighting against the sweaty bodies that wanted to engulf him in the mosh pits that were going on.
He opened up the back door and saw Aria standing in the alleyway. Putting his hands in his pockets, he looked at her. His eyes softened as his appearance turned boyish and more sincere than he was in the club. He said softly, "Aria....I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Whatever you felt was completely and one hundred percent my fault, and I am so sorry. Please come talk to me..."
He stood where he was because he didn't want to make her feel pressured in any way whatsoever. For some reason....he didn't want to ruin his chances with her.
